GOLD BAND

The 'Gold Band' limited edition project was born in the fires of the intense Aviator Series blending program. At times we would create spectacular blends that didn't quite fit the spirit of the Aviator Series. Additionally, we were finding ourselves with miniscule groups of world-class tobaccos, wondering what we could do with, for example, just enough binder leaf for a few hundred cigars.

So, we started crafting a single vitola, the 6x50 'Toro Especial,' with an always changing but always remarkable blend. Now, we could bring cigars to market that people would otherwise never be able to enjoy.

Through cooperation with Hendrik Kelner, Jr., and the Kelner Boutique Factory, every stray bit of rare, exceptional tobacco is put aside for our rotating 'Gold Band' project.

In 2021, the world started seeing Gold Bands in formats other than the Toro Especial. Small runs of a robusto, a short churchill and now even a Connecticut toro have been spotted in the wild.
